Cuilithín

Bands of lace and stocking stitch in shifting weights radiate in shimmering waves across this luxurious shawl. Using a mix of bases from Stranded Dyeworks – DK, fingering and laceweight, sometimes held double – Cuilithín offers endless enjoyment as the colours shift and play against each other. The modified half-pi construction makes for a beautiful, flattering, deep-crescent shape in a generous shawl, perfectly weighted with a generous garter rib border worked in DK.

Inspired by the wavelets caused by a stone launched into a peaceful lake, this shawl is named Cuilithín (col-ee-heen), meaning "ripple" in Irish Gaelic.

Check out the pattern on Ravelry.

This design was a fantastic collaboration with Stranded Dyeworks. Kits for this shawl are on sale from March 23rd (at 7pm GMT) so be sure to check them out.
